Terms & Conditions

SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS & RESTRICTIONS

  1. Orders must ship to a single address located in the 48 contiguous states.  Additional shipping costs may be required, depending on what type of item(s) are ordered to ship to Alaska, or Hawaii.
  2. Sorry, we do not ship internationally.
  3. Orders can not be shipped to multiple addresses, PO Boxes, APO or FPO addresses.
  4. For some orders, a Signature may be required upon delivery.
SHIPPING ERRORS & DISPUTES 
It is the responsiblity of the customer to ensure the accuracy of the shipping address during the time of purchase. In the event a customer enters and confirms an order with the wrong shipping address and fails to notify Ocean Treasures before the order is packaged and shipped, the customer will be held responsible for any shipping costs related to returning the incorrectly shipped order and/or shipping costs related to shipping a new order (if required) to the correct address.
 
We use reliable delivery services that offer sophisticated tracking systems to monitor the status and confirm the delivery of all shipments. Once an order leaves our warehouse, the responsibility for delivering the order lies with the delivery service. Accordingly, in the event a customer claims an order was not received, the tracking information, along with any delivery confirmation, in the delivery service's tracking system will serve as the proof of delivery.
 
SHIPPING POLICY
All in stock items are typically processed for shipment within two to three business days of your order. However, in some instances weather (or other unforseen) events may cause delays in delivery. All expedited shipments will be shipped the following day and will incurr additional shipping fees that are paid for by the customer.  A customer's delay in shopping to meet a specific holiday or date is not a problem created by Ocean Treasures and we will not eat the costs of expedited shipping for circumstances out of our control.
 
RETURNS 
  1. Items that arrived damaged from the shipping process must be documented with Ocean Treasures within 7 days of delivery.  Also, if we accidently sent you the wrong item, please alert us within the 7 days period.  Please call the store at 252-453-2383 for details.  We will need a picture of the damage texted to the phone number listed for our records.  At that time we will make arrangements to get another one sent as soon as possible, at no cost to the customer.
  2. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly offer a full refund for all purchases made online at oceantreasures.com for up to 45 days from the date of purchase. Please contact us by phone or e-mail prior to shipping anything back to the store.  Our store is located in a seasonal location and the shop location is not staffed daily in the off-season.  Also include documentation in your return package referring to your order number so we can apply credit accordingly. 
  3. The refund amount is for the merchandise only.  Shipping costs and/or gift wrap fees are not refundable.  The merchandise must be received in a resellable condition, not show evidence of wear or use, and come back in the original packaging & with original tags.  If the merchandise received is not in a resellable condition, then a 25% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
  4. The customer is responsible for the expense of returning items to us, except in the instances where an item was delivered in error or arrived damaged from transit to the customer. When returning an item, we recommend that you use a delivery service that provides a tracking number.  We will not provide credit for packages that are lost during return shipments if proof of delivery is unavailable.  You may also want to consider letting the delivery service pack it and insuring the package because if something happens in the transportation back to us, you are the one who must make the claim for the damaged item with the shipping company.  If you did not insure it then there will be no money back.  
  5. After the item has been received and inspected by Ocean Treasures, the refund or exchange is typically processed within 10 days.  In most cases refunds will be issued in the original form of payment used to pay for the item.
  6. No refunds will be made or returns accepted after 45 days from the date of purchase.  If we recieve an item after the 45 day purchase period, without prior notification, there will be no refund & we will not ship it back to you.

Additional Return Information:

  1. Open puzzles are not eligible for return.  If you have quaility issues with a puzzle you must contact the manufacturer directly at Ceaco.com or Sunsout.com. Use the contact us information located at the bottom of the manufacturer's home page.  Consult the item box for the manufacturer's name.
  2. We sell only new, unopened, factory direct items.  For that reason, games, lego kits, or CDs are NOT eligible for refund or return after they have been opened.
  3. Bathings suits are NOT eligible for refund or return.  Specific quality issues will be addressed on a case by case basis.  Start that process by calling the store and be ready to provide pictures of the issues in question.
